Mayer Annetty. Coffee Table. December 09th , 2017.
Naturally, the first criteria for choosing coffee tables should be the overall decor of the room. Decors can be broadly classified as Classical, Chic, Retro, Modern etc. A classic decor will probably be Victorian era heavy and ornate furniture, lots of wood and lots of pink cloth. An ornate, curved leg dark wood coffee table will be perfect in that setting. Totally opposite to classic, we have modern, which is lighter furniture, white wood or steel and glass pieces.
A coffee table should ideally be at just above knee height. Your end tables should be level with the arm of the chair or sofa. This will enable you to each to the side and pick up a drink with very little effort. Too high or too low, and it is more easy to spill even to drop your cup or glass.
One other option is to purchase glass paints and get to work. Depending on how you choose to paint, you could think of the glass as canvas and leave it completely decorated. Another option is to use a very light coating of paint and make this surface look almost like stained glass.
Coffee tables in that cafe must have borne witness to so many romantic moments. I mean just how many people started their relation over a coffee. "How about a cup of coffee?" is definitely one of the sweetest pickup lines. So much so that book sellers these days use the coffee table to market their books. These are called coffee table reading, small light romantic readings that catch the eye of those who take a moment to stop at the cafe.
