Whether it is the streets of Paris, the roadside bistro in England, or the terrace cafe in Vienna, coffee tables and romance is somehow connected at a DNA level. It‘s perhaps coffee itself. It is said that Johann Sebastian Bach had once described coffee as "lovelier than a thousand kisses, sweeter far than muscatel wine!". There cannot be a more romantic description of a drink than that.
Imagine some cobble stoned alley in Zurich, a small open cafe, a small table and two cups of Mocha. What else do you need but good company? It also helps that coffee is much more affordable and you don‘t need to wait till sun down to enjoy some romantic time over a coffee. After all, romance often happens at an early age and a romantic candle light dinner is not feasible always. Rather meeting over a cup of coffee and talking over the tiny table becomes the better option.
One piece of furniture that often doesn‘t get much attention is the coffee table. Although this piece of furniture can add functionality and style to your room, sometimes it seems like more of an afterthought instead of part of a cohesive plan. It‘s the little things that make a room complete, though, so now might be a good time to take a good look at your coffee table. If it needs replaced, you‘ll be surprised how many options you have to choose from.
One romantic author once mentioned how she got all her ideas by watching the open-air cafe across the street to her house. Every day she would see familiar and new couples stroll into the cafe, sit across the coffee table, and get lost in their world. There were those who were obviously testing waters and then there were the older couples who came there again and again.
